BRUCEREYNOLDS
Welcome to the Luna Llena Duo! We play the most beautiful Neapolitan songs from the Nineteenth century up to the Sixties and a selection of famous opera tunes accompanied by Spanish guitar.
We are Neapolitan/ Swiss mezzo-soprano Simona Mango and British rock guitarist Bruce Reynolds.
Simona grew up in Naples and Bruce in Arabia, Central America, and the Caribbean; both musicians strongly influenced by their roots.
Simona studied classical singing in Rome perfecting her art with world star soprano Luciana Serra. She sings in operas, in oratorios and gives recitals with various accompanists.
Bruce studied classical guitar with Georges Sergides in London.
He developed a strong interest in Neapolitan music upon meeting Simona and created a crossover style of Neapolitan and Spanish guitar with flamenco influences - a real Mediterranean musician!
His Neapolitan hero is Roberto Murolo.
The duo recorded their first album, "'Na voce, 'na chitarra e 'a luna chiena" in 2015.
